Orchestra VR

Playing a virtual keyboard using SenseGlove in VR

Overview

In OrchestraVR you can play a virtual keyboard in a reactive synthwave environment. It was developed by Bernd Gerrits, Mattia Lorenzetti and myself in a full-time project at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with The Virtual Dutchmen and SenseGlove.

The application was designed to be used with a pair of SenseGloves and the HTC Vive. Key features include playing a keyboard with four different sound presets and modulating the sound with a vertical hand gesture modulation.

This project explored the feasability of playing a virtual keyboard with the SenseGlove system, while leaving space for creating an immersive environment in a synthwave art style.

Kudos to Bernd Gerrits and Mattia Lorenzetti for additional development and art assets.
