Industry procedure training in VR

Overview

This VR training teaches the user work procedures that are used in order picking warehouses. This application has been developed within an interdisciplinary team during my time at Serious XR and is part of the VR Training Academy. I have created the logic and interactions of this training, as well as sound design. 3D art was created by colleagues at Serious XR.

For this VR training, the specific procedure was very important.

I have developed all the steps that the user has to take, from receiving an order, selecting the correct package, packaging it into a box, as well as folding and taping the box. Moreover I have implemented several feedback systems regarding the folding of the taping of the box. This has been an iteration over multiple milestones with colleagues and clients, to get the feedback right. Additionaly I have implemented appropriate feedback sounds and atmospheric audio to increase immersion and learning goal efficiency for this training.

Impact

  • The project has been developed for clients that use the application for training in the logistics industry.
