Railroad Safety VR Training

University bachelor thesis project

Overview

This VR safety trainer simulation was my graduation project, which was done for Strukton Rail. Throughout the project I have researched how HRTF-based spatial audio can be used to increase the immersion of the user's experience in the VR simulation. With the client's requirements in mind, the product has been developed so that it can be used to facilitate training and raise the safety awareness of Strukton's employees who perform complicated and dangerous tasks at heights along railroads. I have worked on this interdisciplinary project together with 7 other students from Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
