VR Ship Room

Object hierarchy menu onboard of virtual dutch ship

Overview

A virtual representation of the bowthruster room of the Hollandklasse OPV ship, developed for Thales during the minor "Immersive Media" at Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

This project was completed as a interdisciplinary group project and consisted of a realistic depiction of one of the rooms on a military ship.

A user interface was developed as part of the project, that lets the user dive into the hierarchy of objects, to learn about different components. This served as a prototype for Thales for a functionality that they need to complicated technical models.

Kudos to art assets and other development work go to the project co-creators.
